Why Anansel
Anansi is the god of stories — the West African spider deity who is the keeper of all narratives. Anansel is his gift to authors: the thread that connects your story to your readers.
Anansi + el
The name starts with Anansi, the spider god of stories. Literally the keeper of all narratives.
We paired that root with the suffix el. It carries more weight than a syllable might suggest.
What “el” holds
In Hebrew tradition, el echoes “of God” or divine power — the same element you hear in names like Gabriel, Michael, and Raphael: messengers and enablers. That fits what we hope to be for writers.
In linguistics, el often works as a diminutive or endearment — something close, personal, yours.
Phonetically it lands near “-sel,” like vessel — a carrier, a container for stories — and parcel — something delivered to someone who matters.
The thread
So you get the divine story-spinner and the vessel that delivers your narrative to the world. Anansel is the thread between author and audience — a home for services that carry your voice from manuscript to readers, with email and audience tools as our first chapter.
